Helen doesn't paint pictures just to have you watch her paint pictures. She paints to teach you something she thinks is important for you to become a self-sufficient craftsman in painting. If you just emulate what she does, you'll need her forever. While that might be nice, it's not ideal. If she teaches you what she knows, you can fly on your own.
